Not at all. The printing sits on the surface and does not interfere with how the fabric breathes from beneath.  Natural dyes used in hand block printing are lightweight and don't coat the fibres the way synthetic inks do. So the breathability stays exactly what it should be for summer use.

200 to 300TC is the sweet spot for summer. Light enough to stay airy, strong enough to hold up with regular washing. Going higher than 400TC in summer usually means a denser weave that holds warmth - the opposite of what you need. Handloom cotton in the lower range outperforms high TC machine-made sheets easily.
